Onibi: Diary of a Yokai Ghost Hunter by Atelier Sento

Onibi is a good story about two young foreigners: Cécile and Oliver. They buy a camera that they are told can take pictures of the supernatural. They explore and enjoy the local foods as they search for yokai in Japan.

According to Wikipedia  "Yokai  are a class of supernatural monsters, spirits, and demons in Japanese folklore. The word yōkai is made up of the kanji for 'bewitching; attractive; calamity'; and 'spectre; apparition; mystery; suspicious'. They can also be called ayakashi, mononoke, or mamono"

Smile😁

The book “Sisters” by Raina Telgemeier has a way of relating to people with siblings and gives those without brothers and sisters a taste of what it’s like. It switches between the story of a family going on a field trip to how we got to the beginning of the story, and how the family changes over the years. It also shows how sibling relationships can have their ups and downs, but when it comes down to it, family is forever (sappy I know). But, Raina makes up for it with the humor and an amazing  story.

The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl

“The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl” by Ryan North is about a young college student with her friend Nancy Whitehead who has the blood, proportional speed, and strength of a squirrel while making really weird faces and badly hiding her secret identity. Doreen Green, AKA Squirrel Girl, takes what others might think of as a weird idea and makes it hilarious and awesome. It’s also a good refresher from the super heroes we know so well today with her squirrel, Tippy Toe (her squirrel army) nothing can stop her from becoming awesome.
