February Teen Events at the Southwick Public Library

We have plenty to keep you busy during the month on February!

Blind Date with a Book
Meet your next favorite book!  From February 1st-February 20th stop by the YA Department to check out a mystery book from our Blind Date with a Book display.  All books are wrapped with only a brief description on the cover.  Find a description that sounds like a good read to you, fill out a review slip after reading the book, and be entered to win a prize!  The more books you read and review slips you fill out, the better your chances are of winning!

Teen Lounge
February’s Teen Lounge will be happening on Wednesday, February 11th from 3-4pm.  We will have the Wii system set up, snacks, and a craft. Stop by and hang out with your friends after school.

Be a Southwick Public Library Teen Volunteer!
Impress colleges and future employers and contribute to the community of Southwick!  Southwick Public Library is looking for teen volunteers.  Volunteers shelve books and also help prepare crafts for story times or other special projects.  To volunteer you must attend 2 training sessions.  Training will be offered on Monday, February 23rd and Tuesday, February 24th from 3-3:45pm.  Once you are trained, a mutually agreed upon time for volunteering will be scheduled.  Teens volunteer for one hour per week.  No registration is required.  If you have any questions ask at the Reference Desk or call 569-1221 ext. 3.
